Schedule: 4 days per week [Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri] 12:00pm – 3:30pm

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Part-Time Physical Education Teacher to lead PE classes for students in Junior Kindergarten (4yrs) through 8th grade. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about promoting physical fitness, the value of teamwork, and sportsmanship, while incorporating a Christian worldview into instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and lead safe, engaging and developmentally appropriate PE lessons for Junior K – 8th grade students; incorporating games, challenges, and routines that build skills and build community
Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for physical activity
Teach fundamental skills in movement, fitness, and various sports
Promote teamwork, respect, perseverance, and Christian character through athletics
Organize and maintain equipment and gym spaces
Collaborate with other staff to support schoolwide events and activities as needed
Monitor and assess student progress and behavior in alignment with school expectations; provide student grades for each trimester
Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues, students, and families
Qualifications:

Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students; an understanding of social, emotional and physical child development
Strong class management skills
Positive, growth mindset and affirmation work style
Personal commitment to the mission of Christian education
Preferred: Experience in Physical Education or related field
Additional Information:

Part-time hourly position; afternoon schedule (exact hours to be discussed during interview)
School year position following the academic calendar (September – June)
Starting pay is $20.50 per hour; compensation depends on experience and education
Position reports to the principal
