Position Title: MS Physical Education and Life Skills Teacher
Division: Middle School
Supervisor: Middle School Principal
Position Summary:
At Concordia International School Hanoi (CISH), we believe in ensuring students receive a holistic education that prioritizes their physical development and health. We are seeking an exceptional physical education and life skills (health) teacher to lead the learning of middle school students. Our aim is to continue to develop an exciting, progressive, and standards-based program that includes experiences that appeal to a wide range of students. General Expectations:
As a school grounded in the Christian faith, Concordia prioritizes candidates who are practicing Christians who are interested in the complex questions of faith and spirituality and who desire to interact with others around these questions.
Full-time teachers lead an after-school activity once per week throughout the year. On regular school days, all teachers are on campus between 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM, not inclusive of activities and meetings.

Position Qualifications:
Education
[required] Bachelor’s degree in education or physical education
[required] Valid teaching credential from an authorized governmental agency in the applicant’s country of origin
[desired] Advanced degree in education, physical education, or fitness
Professional Experience
[required] Minimum 1 year of successful experience as a physical education teacher
[required] Minimum 3 years of successful teaching in a school setting
[highly desired] Experience teaching health, life skills, and social emotional learning, including topics related to executive functioning, growth mindset, drugs and alcohol, sex education, communication and conflict, nutrition, stress, sleep, and social media.
[desired] Experience working in an international school setting
[desired] Familiarity with the American educational system
[desired] Experience working successfully with an ethnically diverse population
[desired] Experience working with students with specific learning needs
[desired] Experience working with English Language Learners (ELLs)
Prioritized Experience

About Concordia International School Hanoi
Concordia International School Hanoi is a private, non-profit, co-educational, international day school with English instruction. Fluency in English is required for entry. EAL support is available. Concordia is governed by a Board of Trustees, comprised of corporate executives who support and promote Concordia’s development and growth. Concordia was founded in 2011 as a Preschool to Grade 7 institution and has annually added the next higher grade level. The first high school graduation took place June 2017. Concordia International School Hanoi is a sister school with Concordia International School Shanghai and Hong Kong International School.
