Assistant Teacher
Job Summary
Assist the Lead Teacher with daily care, supervision, and developmentally appropriate curriculum implementation.
Job Description
· Ensures a safe and nurturing learning environment to support children’s social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual Development
· Interact with children, parents, and other staff in a friendly, positive, and courteous manner
· Maintain all operational requirements for a safe and healthy licensed childcare center, in a developmentally appropriate Christian program
· Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy classroom environment
· Maintain indoor and outdoor environments that are safe, clean, and well organized
· Follow licensing regulations
Minimum Qualifications
· High school Diploma or GED
· Current CDA Credential or willingness to acquire one within a year of hire or ECE Degree
· Six months experience working in an Early Childhood
· Three references that demonstrate positive experience working with, or caring for, children
· Must be able to pass a criminal background check as required by state and federal law
Required Trainings (we provide trainings)
· Current Infant/Toddler First Aid and CPR Certification
· Health and Safety Certification
· Mandated Reporters of Child Abuse and Neglect Certification
· Food Handler’s Certification

· Be dependable and report to work on time
· Be sensitive to other cultural and lifestyle differences
· Work cooperatively and respectfully with children, families, and coworkers
· Ability to work independently and collectively
· Excellent verbal and social skills
· Be able to lift 50 pounds
