Position Title: MS/HS RSB Teacher
Division: Middle School & High School
Supervisor: Division Principal/Assistant Principal
Position Summary:
The Reflective Spiritual Beings (RSB) teacher will have the primary responsibility of teaching RSB courses within Concordia’s middle school and high school. Teacher will guide middle school and high school students in developing self-awareness, empathy, respect for others, and an understanding of spiritual and ethical values that support personal growth and community well-being. The teacher will create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages reflection, dialogue, and action aligned with the school’s mission and values. Instruction focuses on the development of spiritual thought and spiritual well-being. In addition, the RSB teacher will support the Director of Spiritual Life & Identity in the presenting of assemblies and creation of events that promote the spiritual care of both students and faculty.
In order to meet Concordia student learning results (SLOs) and grade level expectations, the teacher carries out the following broad and specific responsibilities across the following domains: Planning and Preparation, Classroom Management, Instruction, and Professional Responsibilities.
