Overview

Rochester Central Lutheran School (RCLS) is looking to fill the role of Principal. This position is a full-time, salaried, 12 month position. This position also includes a benefits package in accordance to a professional 12 month employee.

The principal shall promote and maintain RCLS in accordance with The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and RCLS Association guidelines.  This includes execution of any and all procedures and policies necessary to ensure a successful day school program.  The principal is responsible for the day-to-day operations to manage RCLS.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • The principal shall have met the requirements for the professional certificate endorsement for teaching, and in addition have secured a master’s degree in elementary education or administration or be actively pursuing this degree within a timeframe acceptable to the Board of Directors, four years of teaching experience, and school administrative experience with the amount to be judged by the Board of Directors.
  • The principal shall be a member of (and participate in) professional organizations and associations.
  • The principal shall be certified by the The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod through graduation from a Synodical school or by colloquy.
  • The principal shall be or become a member of an RCLS association congregation.

Founded in 1875, Rochester Central Lutheran School (RCLS) is an association school that serves students from Preschool – Grade 8 in Rochester, MN. We currently have 440 students enrolled.
