Position Overview:
Holy Ghost Lutheran School is seeking a dynamic and faithful leader to serve as Principal. The Principal will provide both spiritual and academic leadership, ensuring the school continues to fulfill its mission of delivering Christ-centered education. The ideal candidate will be a called worker in the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) and will demonstrate a deep commitment to Lutheran doctrine, a passion for Christian education, and the ability to inspire and lead faculty, staff, students, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide spiritual and academic leadership to the school community, ensuring alignment with Lutheran values and doctrine.
Support, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff to promote professional growth and excellence in teaching.
Foster a nurturing and Christ-centered environment that encourages spiritual growth, academic achievement, and character development.
Collaborate with the church, school board, and families to strengthen the school’s mission and vision.
Oversee daily school operations, including curriculum development, student discipline, and extracurricular activities.
Engage in recruitment and retention efforts to maintain and grow student enrollment.
Represent the school within the local community and the broader LCMS network.
Qualifications:
Active member of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS).
Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Valid teaching certification and administrative credentials (preferred).
Experience in Lutheran education and a strong understanding of LCMS doctrine.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A heart for ministry and a passion for serving students, families, and the community.
