Position Purpose:
The Digital Lab Manager is responsible for ensuring consistent and up-to-date color management system profiles and current software updates, as well as ensuring that basic care and order is maintained in the lab, at all times. This includes Art Lab, the Lillich Design Studio and the Digital Print Lab. The Digital Lab Manager is also responsible for monitoring the digital printing supplies and communicating inventories. This is a part-time position. Must be 19 years or older to apply.
Responsibilities:
Establishes a regular schedule when the lab will be calibrated, updated, and maintained.
Color calibrates equipment, including 40 monitors, 12 Cintiqs, 2 scanners and 10 projectors throughout Brommer.
Ensures that computers and printers are up to date and operational.
Identifies and submits issues beyond local administrative capabilities to HelpDesk.
Organizes and maintains the supplies for the Digital Print Lab (submitting supply needs to administrative assistant).
Provides basic technical troubleshooting for software and hardware.
Communicates network problems to network administrator.
Keeps lab and studio in a clean and organized condition.
Maintains an accurate inventory of all computer lab assets.
Acquires and maintains good working knowledge of current versions of software.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience-
Working knowledge of software and hardware associated with the field.
Specialized Knowledge-
Familiarity with Adobe software.
Proficiencies-
Time management, organizational and problem-solving skills, clear communication, self-motivated.
