About Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church & Preschool

Faith is a confessional and mission-minded congregation that believes in growing through living God's Word. We have been a congregation of the LCMS since the 1950s, celebrating Word and Sacrament ministry in the small town of DeMotte in whatever ways the Spirit enables us. As an LCMS congregation, we seek to share the treasure of our Lutheran identity, in doctrine, practice and life, with a community steeped in other faith traditions.

We are a serving congregation, seeking to provide aid in whatever ways the Holy Spirit enables us with our gifts. We have multiple craft ministries, including a rather significant quilting ministry. In the past, we've operated a ramp ministry, building projects to help homes accommodate for wheelchairs and other means of assistance. We opened a Swaddling Clothes ministry in 2023, which collects and shares necessary items with young families in need, reaching several hundred families in just over a year.

We are a congregation that cares deeply about families, encouraging and empowering parents to live out our Christian faith for their children and the world, including a desire to participate in Family Discipleship training through Concordia Center for the Family. It is our hope and prayer that our preschool ministry, which has been in operation for more than two decades, will become a vital extension of this work for our community as well. We are accredited with the NLSA and desire to maintain that in the years to come.
