About St. Paul Lutheran Church and School
St. Paul Lutheran Church & School in Utica, Nebraska is a Christ-centered ministry of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod committed to proclaiming the Gospel and making disciples of all generations. Established in 1885, St. Paul remains deeply grateful for the faithful saints who built and sustained this ministry through the years. At the same time, the congregation is intentionally focused on meeting the spiritual and academic needs of today’s students as they are formed into the next generation of Christian leaders, servants, and members of Christ’s Church.
Under the leadership of Pastor Drew Oswald, the congregation is devoted to faithful preaching and teaching of Scripture, vibrant worship, and active community engagement. The school, led by Principal Sam Sommerer, serves students from preschool through 8th grade, partnering closely with families to provide rigorous academics grounded in Lutheran doctrine. Together, church and school work to equip students to live out their faith with conviction, compassion, and confidence in Christ.
