Overview
We are looking for a Director for our Child Development Center and Preschool: someone who loves children, can manage of team of teachers and staff, interact with parents and caregivers, manage the day-to-day activities of the CDC, and work with the Pastor and Board of Education of Ascension Lutheran Church as a part of its Christian mission. This position involves both program administration (i.e., developing and implementing curriculum, school calendar, etc.; seeking out and securing grant money; compliance with Alabama DHR requirements) and personnel administration (i.e., recruiting, training, and overseeing staff and volunteers). It is a full-time position with benefits, and as a staff member of an LCMS congregation, the director must be or be willing to become an active communicant member in good standing of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
