Position Title: Director of Marketing and Communications

Overview:

Concordia International School Hanoi, a coeducational college preparatory international school serving over 530 students, seeks a full-time Director of Marketing and Communications. The school, founded in 2011, is located in the Van Tri Golf Compound in Hanoi and educates students in  76 Preschool 4 through 12th grade.

The Director of MARCOM works closely with the Head of School, Admissions Director, divisional principals, and other faculty and staff to lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to enhance the school’s brand reputation, increase enrollment, and foster community engagement. The Director will oversee all aspects of marketing, branding, public relations, and communications to effectively communicate the school’s mission, vision, core values, and achievements to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of MARCOM professionals, including setting clear goals, providing feedback, and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Management: Oversee the activities of the MARCOM team, prepare and present reports, manage surveys, and prepare and manage annual marketing budgets.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic marketing and communication plans aligned with the school’s goals and objectives, with a focus on increasing enrollment, enhancing brand visibility, and fostering community engagement.
Brand Management: Ensure consistency and integrity of the school’s brand across all marketing materials, communication channels, and touchpoints, including print materials, digital assets, signage, and products.
Enrollment Marketing: Lead the development of targeted marketing campaigns and materials to attract prospective families and students, including digital advertising, print collateral, website content, and social media strategies.
Admissions Support: Collaborate with the admissions team to develop marketing materials, events, and strategies to support the admissions process and enhance the school’s appeal to prospective families. Together, with the Admissions Director, oversee marketing and sales activities through a fully integrated multi-channel plan to drive inquiries and enrollment.
Internal and External Communications: Develop and implement internal communication strategies to effectively engage and inform faculty, staff, students, and other internal stakeholders about school news, events, initiatives, and policies. Prepare communications and presentations for the Head of School. Oversee and develop external communications, including media relations, digital content, and public statements and publications. Oversee copy editing, fact-checking, and formatting communication materials.
Content Development: Create compelling and engaging content, including articles, blog posts, newsletters, videos, and social media posts that showcase the school’s programs, achievements, and unique value proposition.
Digital Marketing: Oversee the school’s digital marketing efforts, including website management, email marketing, social media strategies, and online advertising campaigns, to increase visibility and engagement with target audiences. Monitoring and analyzing marketing performance metrics to optimize strategies and improve outcomes.
Requirements and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Proven experience of at least 5-7 years in marketing, communications, or public relations, preferably in the education sector or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience.
Strong leadership and strategic planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute marketing and communication strategies that drive enrollment and enhance brand reputation.
Strong communication skills as a speaker, writer, and listener in the English language.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in digital marketing channels and tools, including website management systems, email marketing platforms, social media management tools, and analytics platforms.
Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate and adapt to changing market dynamics.
Experience in content development, brand management, and media relations.
Proficiency in marketing tools and technologies, including marketing automation platforms, analytics tools, and project management software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and insights to drive decision-making and optimization.
Experience in budget management, project management, and vendor management.
Passion for marketing and a commitment to staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Weekend hours may be required when the school has special events.

Concordia International School Hanoi is a private, non-profit, co-educational, international day school with English instruction. Fluency in English is required for entry. EAL support is available. Concordia is governed by a Board of Trustees, comprised of corporate executives who support and promote Concordia’s development and growth. Concordia was founded in 2011 as a Preschool to Grade 7 institution and has annually added the next higher grade level. The first high school graduation took place June 2017.
