Position Title: HS Social Studies Teacher
Division: High School
Supervisor: Division Principal/Assistant Principal
Position Summary:
Concordia High School is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced High School Social Science teacher with the abilities and desire to facilitate learning using the C3 Social Studies Framework. Experience teaching a variety of HS grade levels, including previous AP teaching experience is desirable. Exact teaching assignment will be determined based on the skillset/expertise of the individual and current Social Sciences/History team. Other preferred attributes include demonstration of strong collaborative teaming, integration of inclusive practices at the planning and instruction stages, and contributions to a positive culture and climate where students are at the center.
In order to meet Concordia school-wide learning outcomes (SLOs) and grade level expectations, the teacher carries out the following broad and specific responsibilities across the following domains: Planning and Preparation, Classroom Management, Instruction, and Professional Responsibilities.
Concordia seeks educators who are familiar with and embrace MTSS and UDL, designing lessons that meet diverse learning needs and provide equitable opportunities for every student.
