Overview

The Director of Fine Arts provides leadership and is responsible for all aspects of the Faith Lutheran Fine Arts program including the Conservatory. This position should be a champion for the arts both within the school community and within the broad community, including advertising, competitions, performance opportunities and partnerships. The Director of Fine Arts is a member of both the MS Administrative Team and the HS Administrative Team and reports to the MS and HS Principals.

Qualifications:

The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in the fields of education or a related area. Experience with multiple fine art disciplines, curriculum development and leadership is preferred.

Specific Responsibilities

The Director of Fine Arts will:

Provide leadership and guidance of the Faith Conservatory of the Fine Arts, this includes meeting with CFA seniors and auditing their progress, facilitate programming (6-12) for preparing students for the next level, and frequent communication with all stakeholders.
Maintain communication and oversight of each discipline in regards to budgets, course requirements, competitions, performances and other distinct experiences for students.
Explore and secure events and opportunities for involvement of our Conservatory and Fine Arts students in the Las Vegas and broader community.
Facilitating a symposium for 10th and 11th grade students preparing for the next level in their desired discipline.
Provide supervision of the Chapel and Performing Arts Center (CPAC) and the Tech Directors. Maintaining supplies, upkeep and the events calendar as well as communicating with outside vendors for maintenance andor improvements.
Manage and work with the Fine Arts Administrative Assistant
Organize and collaborate with the Fine Arts Departments for contracts & stipends for events, performances, and other extracurriculars. Organize and attend all Fine Arts events including concerts, productions, Senior Showcase, etc.
Manage all Fine Arts budgets with regular communication with the Finance Department and HSMS Principals. Keep each department headdiscipline head informed of budgets.
Lead and collaborate with the Department Chairs to develop and update curriculum across all levels. This includes proposing new courses, budget concerns, etc. Observe Fine Arts teachers 1-2 times per year using the ELEOT tool.
Improve, update and maintain the Fine Arts & Conservatory web pages, ticketing platform and other PR opportunities. This includes updated pictures, user-friendly calendar and relevant information.
Create, maintain and communicate the Fine Arts Calendar (5 theatrical productions, 2-3 concert series, concerts, Lutheran Fine Arts Festival, Dance event and 2 awards ceremonies) at school wide calendar meeting and administration. Collaborate with athletics, activities and administration on dates for the calendar.
