Living Christ Early Learning Center is seeking a strong, dependable, and nurturing Lead Teacher to join our team in a warm, faith-based environment.

We are looking for a teacher who understands the importance of structure, consistency, positive guidance, and relationship-building within the classroom. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in leading a classroom, building routines, supporting behaviors positively, and creating a calm, engaging environment where children can thrive spiritually, emotionally, socially, physically, and intellectually.

The teacher is responsible for providing a warm, nurturing, safe, and loving Christian environment while supporting each child’s growth and development through meaningful interactions, engaging activities, and strong communication with families.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement lesson plans using Living Christ Early Learning Center’s curriculum that are developmentally appropriate for children
Create strong classroom routines, expectations, and transitions that help children feel successful and supported
Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
Support children’s social-emotional development using positive guidance and redirection
Respect and support the varying developmental, cultural, and social needs of each child
Use the provided religious curriculum daily and model Christian values through interactions with children, families, and staff
Interact with and encourage children through play, exploration, and hands-on learning experiences
Communicate professionally and consistently with families to build positive relationships
Maintain documentation and observations of children’s development through portfolio work and assessments
Participate in parent-teacher conferences alongside classroom staff
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
Collaborate positively with coworkers, church members, volunteers, and leadership
Attend required staff meetings, trainings, family events, and continuing education opportunities
Demonstrate flexibility in supporting other classrooms when needed
Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Director

Qualifications
Experience working in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
Previous lead teacher experience strongly preferred
Wisconsin Registry credentials (or willingness to obtain)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to lift at least 30 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day
