Seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to lead and inspire our close-knit Christian school community!

 

About Us:

Our intentionally sized Christian school fosters a warm and nurturing environment where children blossom academically, spiritually, and socially. We believe in integrating faith-based values with a strong academic curriculum, empowering our students to become well-rounded, caring individuals.  Each school site has 50 or fewer students that are in pods of 10-20 students.  We intentionally keep our school right sized to allow students to work on individual learning paths that challenge them academically.  Our school structure is based on multiage, learner directed classrooms and a dashboard of cutting-edge learning tools that facilitate individualized learning.

 

About the Role:

We are searching for a dynamic and faith-filled individual to be a classroom mentor and guide.  You will play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of our students, both inside and outside the classroom.  In our model, students are the primary drivers of their learning and teachers serve as guides instead of delivering direct instruction.

 

An ideal candidate would:

·       Hold students accountable to their promises and to delivering “the best they can do” as they discover and pursue their education

·       Create personal/group covenants to provide and strengthen a safe learning community

·       Inspire students to uphold promises to learners, parents, fellow mentors, and directors

·       Pass along responsibilities to learners as quickly as possible, so as to empower them to lead themselves to act as role models and as an independent learners

·       Launch and lead Socratic discussions

·       Co-create and launch projects including daily challenges and curating world-class examples

·       Supply a positive classroom environment and set up a classroom as an inspiration for learning

·       Learn how to present Montessori learning materials to students and support students in the use of those materials

·       Guide art and PE activities

·       Encourage students to track their progress and create portfolios to show parents, peers, and apprenticeship employers what they can do

·       Evaluate and refine existing curriculum, designing and experimenting with new projects, tools, and approaches

·       Help organize, execute, and host our annual Children’s Business Fair

·       Demonstrate a deep commitment to the success of LNS

Responsibilities:

Leadership: Provide leadership, fostering a positive and collaborative school culture.
Curriculum & Instruction: Oversee the curriculum, ensuring it aligns with Christian values and educational best practices.
Student Development: Mentor and guide students, promoting their academic, spiritual, and social growth.
Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with families, staff, and the broader community.
Administration: Manage daily operations, including scheduling and personnel in concert with the Superintendent
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
Strong Christian faith and commitment to integrating Biblical principles into education.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
Passion for working with children and fostering their unique talents.
Willingness to learn along with a teachable spirit.
