Preschool 2s Teacher

Overview

Messiah Lutheran Classical Academy Preschool is looking for an assistant teacher for our 2s classroom.

The position is 18 hrs/wk with very competitive pay.

Reponsibilities include assisting lead teacher with the following:

Instruct preschool-aged children in developmentally appropriate activities
Teach Bible lessons
Create a fun and safe learning environment
Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
Communicate with parents on students’ growth and progress
Maintain the health and safety of all students

Qualifications:

Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields strongly preferred but not required
A love for children and a desire to work with them and help them thrive
Ability to build rapport with children
Must have a positive attitude toward children
Loving and patient disposition in dealing with children
Highschool Diploma or equivalent required
Associates Degree or higher desired but not necessary
