Teacher of Elementary Music (Grades K–8)

At Redeemer, we believe music is a gift from God, meant to be nurtured, developed, and shared. Our music program is designed to help students discover and use their God-given musical talents in worship, performance, and fellowship with others.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Music Teacher for Kindergarten through 8th grade. The ideal candidate will lead engaging, Christ-centered music instruction, encourage student growth through performance opportunities, and contribute to a vibrant school and church community.

Responsibilities Include:

● Teach music classes twice weekly for Kindergarten through 8th grade

● Offer and lead middle school music electives, including handbells and choir

● Plan and direct student performances for:

○ Advent Services

○ All-School Musical

○ Church services

○ Music Festivals

○ Assisted Living Facility Performances

● Foster musical growth through both classroom instruction and performing groups ● Collaborate with other staff and church leadership to integrate music into worship and school life ● Assist with additional school duties as assigned

Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field (required)

● State teaching certification (preferred or required based on local/state guidelines) ● Experience teaching music in an elementary/middle school setting

● Proficiency in vocal and/or instrumental instruction; piano and handbells a plus

● Strong classroom management skills and a heart for Christian education

● Ability to inspire students and cultivate a love for music
