Overview

Springfield Lutheran School in Springfield, Missouri is seeking a middle school English/Language Arts teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.  Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in education, hold Missouri teaching certification, and be certified by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (or be willing to work toward both through the State of Missouri and/or the Colloquy program). Springfield Lutheran School is seeking candidates who are dedicated to being a spiritual, educational, and professional leader of the school and church community.  We are looking for motivated, organized individuals who are committed to providing our students with an engaging, loving, and supportive Christian classroom community.

Springfield Lutheran School is a growing ministry of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Springfield, Missouri.  Started in 1979, SLS has been serving children ages three through 8th grade for over 46 years.

Springfield is located in southwest Missouri and has a smaller town feel with big city amenities.  Springfield is home to three vibrant LCMS congregations, and has supportive congregations in neighboring communities.  It's a great place to live and a wonderful community to worship in.
