Overview
St. John Lutheran School is seeking a dedicated and flexible Grade 2-3 Teacher to lead a multi-age classroom for the 2025-26 school year. The goal is to have a full time teacher in this position by beginning of Semester 2 (late January, 2026)
This educator will be responsible for teaching core subjects including Literacy, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Religion. The ideal candidate will foster a supportive and engaging learning environment that meets the diverse academic and developmental needs of students across multiple grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver instruction in Literacy, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Religion aligned with curriculum standards and student needs.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate varied learning styles, abilities, and age levels within the classroom.
- Create a positive, structured, and faith-centered classroom environment that encourages student growth and responsibility.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Integrate technology and hands-on learning experiences to enhance student engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student success.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with families.
- Participate in school events, professional development, and faith-based activities as part of the school community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (required); teaching license or certification (preferred).
- Experience working in multi-age or differentiated learning environments is a plus.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Commitment to Christian education and values.
