Overview
St. John Lutheran School is looking to hire a 6-8 grade teacher. Responsibilities include teaching all core subjects and a willingness to take on other plays or concerts throughout the year working with the rest of the staff. We are a non-voucher school which also brings with it freedom to not have to conform to state regulations, and means that our effectiveness is shown in the students that come out of our school and not simply being accredited.
There are ample opportunities for service open to but not expected as we seek for each teacher to take on and step up into the roles and skills they are blessed by God with. Whether those skills and interests are youth/jr youth, library management, yearbook, or AD responsibilities. We all work together to get things done and prioritize the confession of our Lord Jesus Christ as first and final importance.

We’ve been a four room schoolhouse for over 120 years. That brings with it a strong sense of congregational support, pride, and thanksgiving for the work that God has done in our ministry context, especially given our upper Midwest rural location.
Our traditional values also come with attitudes of care for the worker. St. John Lutheran Church seeks to support the worker in as many ways as we can. Individual healthcare is covered at 100% along with a $1000 HSA. Teachers and Pastor receive a 50% break intuition on top of the already reduced member rate. At this time our teacherage is unoccupied, making questions of where to live easily answered by the four bedroom house with a semi-finished basement located on property next to the school.
