Overview
St. Paul Lutheran Church and School will be hiring a Middle School Language Arts teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. We are looking for a Christian teacher who loves God, loves people, and wants to make a difference in student’s lives. This person must be able to meaningfully teach grammar, spelling, and literature to middle school students while preparing them for the rigor of High School. The person will also serve as a homeroom teacher and have additional responsibilities as agreed upon. The teacher we hire must be a team player who is committed to the students and our entire organization. The teacher will exercise excellent classroom management based on Law and Gospel. The teacher is expected to create a learning environment that is positive and supports the curriculum adopted by the Christian Day School Board. All classroom practices and procedures must coincide with the philosophy and objectives of St. Paul Lutheran Church and School.
The minimum qualifications for St. Paul Teachers are:
Must profess and a live a Christian faith and lifestyle.
Have a Bachelor’s degree in education.
Possess or is able to secure a Florida State Teacher’s Certificate.
Possesses good verbal and communication skills.
Recognizes the church and school is one ministry dedicated to serving God by serving our students and families.
Demonstrates a love and care for children.
Does everything possible to maintain good physical and mental health.
Is poised, punctual, enthusiastic, dependable, loyal, adaptable, and trustworthy.
Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
