Position Overview
We seek a dedicated and passionate elementary teacher who is committed to the classical education model. The ideal candidate will guide students through a rich curriculum emphasizing literature, history, grammar, arithmetic, and virtue formation.
Responsibilities
Teach core subjects, including literature, history, grammar, writing, arithmetic, religion, and Latin.
Implement classical pedagogy, emphasizing Socratic discussion and memorization.
Foster a structured yet joyful learning environment rooted in virtue and Christian values.
Integrate prayer and the beauty of His creation into daily instruction.
Work collaboratively with fellow faculty and staff to uphold the school’s mission.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and behaviors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education with a valid Nebraska Teaching certificate.
Strong understanding of classical literature, history, reading, and instructional pedagogy.
Commitment to the classical education philosophy and moral formation rooted in Christian tradition.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

About Zion Classical Academy
Zion Classical Academy is a small school in rural Nebraska. We are dedicated to raising children in Christ from PreK through 6th grade. We are blessed to have multiple congregations supporting us in Hastings, including Zion Lutheran, Peace Lutheran, Faith Lutheran, and Wanda Lutheran.
We recently celebrated our 125th anniversary, and God continues to guide our work as we trust in Him.
