Elementary Teacher Opening (2026–2027 School Year)
St. John’s Lutheran School is seeking a dedicated and Christ-centered elementary teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Located in historic Hannibal, Missouri, St. John’s Lutheran School is committed to providing academic excellence grounded in Christian faith and values.
The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting the academic, spiritual, and developmental needs of each student while supporting the mission and ministry of the school. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, model Christ-centered living, and actively participate in both the school community and their local church.
Qualifications:
Appropriate teaching certification
Successful completion of a background check
Commitment to Christian education and Lutheran values
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Responsibilities Include:
Providing high-quality instruction using a variety of teaching strategies
Planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet diverse student needs
Maintaining a positive and orderly classroom environment
Integrating faith into all areas of learning
Communicating regularly and effectively with families
Supporting the overall mission and ministry of the school
